Day 2 / Welcome to My Crib!

"No matter how many times you save the world, it always manages to get back in jeopardy again. Sometimes I just want it to stay saved! You know, for a little bit? I feel like the maid; I just cleaned up this mess! Can we keep it clean for... for ten minutes!"
- The Incredibles

Last night I had my first utility shift from 19:00-0:30. Since the park closed at 20:00, I expected we'd be doing something cool like dusting lightposts or cleaning inside attractions. Nope! We ended up going out to the parking structure and sweeping the already spotless staircases for four hours. It was frustrating because we didn't see any guests, and I felt useless since it was already so clean. But, my night turned around when we got the opportunity to walk through the entire park from Critter Country to Main Street with absolutely zero guests. It was eerie, because the music was still on, but not all the lights. I tried to get a photo of the Haunted Mansion, because it looked even more spooky, but it was too dark. However, I managed to get this:

Since we got off at 0:30 and the next bus wasn't until 1:14, my coworker Harrison and I went to the 24-hour IHOP across the street from the park. Nothing like red velvet pancakes at 1AM! Tonight I'll be riding Space Mountain with the lights on! I'm so excited, and can't wait to post about it!

Tomorrow is our inspection day, so we cleaned our already fairly clean apartment. I've been cleaning the sinks/toilet/shower/counters every single day, so there wasn't too much left to do. Hopefully we get a perfect score! And since our apartment is now spotless, here are some much-anticipated photos!

My bed is the top bunk (the only one that's made!)

Grabbed that Dumbo at Company D for like $5! So cute. Eeyore was a xmas gift from my little brother!

I know it looks messy, but everything is put away! This is my corner. I'm slowly realizing I'm going to be in my costume so often that I really don't need to have all this clothing... oh well!
